About Deonna Baney

Deonna, a dedicated US Army veteran, currently resides in Cabot, Arkansas. She serves as a compassionate Registered Oncology Nurse at UAMS in Little Rock. Her commitment to service began with eight honorable years in the Army Reserve, a period marked by significant active-duty service. Following her discharge, Deonna's desire to contribute persisted, leading her to a fulfilling career in nursing.

Now happily settled in Arkansas with her wonderful husband, two beautiful daughters, and three beloved dogs, Deonna has spent the past seven years as a Registered Oncology Nurse.

Beyond her medical career, Deonna has always been drawn to writing, a passion she continues to nurture. Currently pursuing her master's in nursing to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, Deonna is driven by a deep-seated commitment to personal and professional growth.

In her leisure time, Deonna finds joy in caring for others and indulges her passion for cooking and cake decorating during her family's special occasions. Beyond her roles in healthcare and homemaking, Deonna is an experienced homeschool teacher, having guided her oldest daughter's education and presently instructing her four-year-old daughter.

She currently is a children’s book author but is working on expanding her writing genres to thriller, inspirational, and older adolescents.
